Grand Forks Directory
Situated at the confluence of the Red Lake River and the Red River of the North, Grand Forks appreciates a great scenic and recreational view of the water although the city has had a problem in the past with the Great Flood of 1997. Since then, Grand Forks has designed The Greenway, which is a 2,200-acre park on the riverbanks. The park is used extensively by Grand Forks residents as well as the surrounding areas for recreation. It also protects the city in the case of another flood.
Residents of Grand Forks enjoy a safety that surpasses most other cities. Consider that the state of North Dakota has the least number of burglaries and violent crimes per capita in the entire United States. Couple this with relatively clean air, a number of major sporting venues, a variety of shopping centres and a low unemployment level, and Grand Forks is the perfect place to relocate.
